About

Bob lives in Devon and was awarded his Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society in November 2025 with a panel of prints showing fungi with the creatures that live on them. This was the culmination of 5 years work immersing himself in the flora and fauna of a local wood.

His photographic journey actually started though when his four children began to leave home in the mid 1990’s and wanting to fill the void left by their departure he enrolled on a City and Guilds Photography course and his passion for his new found hobby has never waned but has grown with time.

Bob’s photographic interests are diverse, not only with natural history photography but also with travel, street, landscape, portrait, contemporary and creative photography to name but a few genres.

He has been a member of Sidmouth Photographic Club since 2007 and has had various roles on the committee, has managed the clubs recent exhibitions and is proud to be actively involved in encouraging and helping members achieve RPS Distinctions.

Bob is a Sony Mirrorless camera user for “everyday” photography and uses the Olympus OMD system for his fungi and macro images.
